@rjquillin yeah I agree! I was trying to check the allergens for my son and to determine how many to buy. It was difficult but i made it out somehow. (N ofc he cant eat them)
@richrauch
That’s the plan. Get you to join, then tempt you with stuff to justify the cost of the membership.
And YES I’m still a VMP. So far the math is working for me.
@1DisabledWarVet@chienfou Now that you mention it, the price hike caused me to cancel. I’d been wondering if I was buying enough to justify the cost before the increase. Suddenly, the decision was easy.
@chienfou
Oh, I didn’t realize YOU posted that picture. I don’t think it could have been the … because I went back and edited that after about 2 minutes when it didn’t produce a picture for me. Who knows… maybe it’s just a glitch in the matrix.
@mediocrebot@chienfou
Well it looks like everything is working great now, it even produced a beautiful creature after only 3 tries! And I must say that is the prettiest shade of scarlet!
I love the write-up, but if you’ve never tried mixing chocolate chunk granola with a good Greek yogurt and leaving it in the fridge overnight you don’t know what you’re missing.
@Pufferfishy granola and milk is okay, but you would have to buy “dry” granola. Most processed granola has a layer of tapioca which hardens while remaining chewy in cold milk. (So it’s like eating day old gum.)
Ok meh, this stores.com cash is a cool deal. I’m finding myself agreeing with Chef. Let’s take a flyer on this for $3 and change.
/showme a plucky beautiful barnacle
@ergomeh@therealjrn
IIRC it’s 30 days (or 1 year for us VMPs.) But no, I don’t see any advantage to “banking it”. You run the risk of
a) forgetting to use it (/buy command for instance)
b) not finding another use before it expires (less likely as a VMP)
c) creating unnecessary anxiety about “is this the right time/item to spend it on or will something ‘better’ be available tomorrow”, or the next day, or…
Had a brief moment of panic when I checked the sales map and my county was not highlighted. My order is clearly entered and says processing so I guess I’m not worth tracking!
@chienfou Did you get yours? Mine arrived today. They’re fine but a little bland, to my surprise. I’m sure my voracious brother will be willing to help polish them off.
@Kyeh
Got mine today. This will actually be great with yogurt and bananas for breakfast. Like the texture. Flavor is good but as you say not overwhelming… which suits me fine.
Sent a couple of bags home with my (vegan) daughter.
Well worth the price in my estimation.
Whelp, I got my package on SUNDAY of all days (very unusual for FedEx) since they were originally sheduled to arrive on Friday. but…the rest of the story…
Friday was raining so the package rode all day long thru the rainy streets of Tulsa, but apparently couldn’t quite make it to my house.
Cool, it was loaded up for delivery Saturday but my turd of a driver decided to make their work lighter and marked my address “undeliverable”
So Sunday, no notice from FedEx but my package showed up around lunch time.
It looked like it had been drop-kicked several times and was all beat up. The inner bags look ok, they’re pretty thick plastic.
So. My question is this:
How crumbled up is this granola? Should I bitch to FedEx? Scratch that, already done. How crumbled up is this granola?
Got these, was disappointed that they weren’t what I expected, but tried them anyway and found them very good. I’m about to order more. Let’s see if this still works:
@cshupe Same. The texture isn’t quite what I imagined for “chunky clusters”, but it’s fairly tasty just the same (and, most important, not excessively sweet).
Despite these clearly being labeled as “chewy” and “soft baked,” my mouth was still somehow expecting drier and crunchier. That’s my mouth’s fault. They still taste pretty good. I’ll have to try the yogurt soak mentioned above.
@sfwineguy these are still pretty dry (after your saliva melts the tapioca coating, the oats will absorb water in your mouth); having them with yogurt (which will also melt the tapioca, unlike milk) will probably plump them up.
@ColetteHughes This is because this is the public discussion page. As of this post, the granola clusters are still available to order on the product page:
@jsh139@therealjrn
Here’s another vote for this being a fantastic product. I’ve been enjoying mine with yogurt and bananas in the morning. Gave three bags to my daughter when she was visiting a few weeks ago. I think I regret that now!!

‘Chewy’ is generally not an adjective that describes margaritas
you should try my bloody Marys
@alacrity never had one, never want one, I’ll stick to Ramos Fizz. Blended by a competent barguy.
@alacrity @JohnQ118 Poor Mary!
for $5 I’d go in. or for $7.5 but a sawbuck?
@JohnQ118 This is 55 ounces of some unhealthy junk food for 10 bucks? Seems ok.
/buy
Hmm where’s that bot?
@phr Ive never had them, or any type of chewy granola, but I love chocolate and these are cheap, so why not!?!
@JohnQ118
Two bucks a bag for 11 oz of granola is actually not a bad price. Factor in the fact that these are Kind and it’s a great price.
Never had these, but the wife pretty reliably loves KIND dark chocolate products so I’m in for a bunch.
How about we get a nutrition panel that’s actually readable and not all pixelated; or is it just me…?
Even the 'zon manages to get that right
@rjquillin yeah I agree! I was trying to check the allergens for my son and to determine how many to buy. It was difficult but i made it out somehow. (N ofc he cant eat them

@rjquillin at the Amazon page:

I surely would have bought this today if I hadn’t cancelled my Meh-mbership a few months ago.
@richrauch
That’s the plan. Get you to join, then tempt you with stuff to justify the cost of the membership.
And YES I’m still a VMP. So far the math is working for me.
@chienfou @richrauch - meh increased my membership from $5.99+ tax to $8.99+ tax!! Did anyone else experience this increase¿?
@1DisabledWarVet
They mentioned this a while (weeks) ago. Also rolled out an annual membership that works out to the aforementioned amount I believe…
@1DisabledWarVet @chienfou Now that you mention it, the price hike caused me to cancel. I’d been wondering if I was buying enough to justify the cost before the increase. Suddenly, the decision was easy.

That was a “/image” though… (That I posted… Yours never did show up)
Edit looking at our current goat’s post below, his was successful, but without the dashes. Maybe that’s the key…

So. My question is this:
@chadp how “granular” is this granola please?
@ChadP @therealjrn it’s like a completely broken oatmeal cookie. There are some big lumps, but mostly crumbs.
Thanks @pakopako!
@ChadP, I hereby recind my line of questioning and will drop any further investigation.
