I’d get this deal but all the empty cups are a pain.

Maybe I’ll go back to a moka pot but use half caf.

Find a brand of coffee cups you find acceptable.
First, run the machine with no pod if it lets you, to,pre-heat the system. And also warm water in your cup to pre-heat it.
Now, put in your quality coffee pod, and run on the smallest setting, usually 6 or 8 ounce.
I found with good quality coffee cups this actually worked well for me.
@simeon527 Also on recycling, yes I hate that too. More plastic waste. Some brands, not sure about these, have a removable insert which holds the grounds. Then you are left with a clean plastic cup and you can stack up a bunch together for recycling. Note that plastic recycling in this country is questionable in many regions. Apparently we used to ship a lot of it to China but then they said “no, we don’t want your crap anymore.” So I’m afraid a lot of our “recycling” ends up in a landfill anyway.
@simeon527 Get an Aeropress, it doesn’t get much simpler. You can rinse-off the filters and re-use them, so consumables costs amount to just the coffee itself.
@brainmist I’m still working my way very slowly through the Elle Nespresso pods from the last time meh sold them. I always forget about them because my wife always makes a fresh pot of coffee.
@mmonacoj odd? I’ve found Meh shipping to be very solid and reliable. Good quality outer boxes I often keep for re-use. (Except I think my wife just recycled a bunch of them I was keeping—oops my fault for not organizing better) Unlike the lightweight A** and W**t boxes that are super thin or just plastic bags or slap a sticker on the manufacturer box and ship it.

Weird marketing, so no wonder they wound up here. “Organic” coffee that is brewed in single-use plastic. Most people that care about organic for health reasons would be put off by micro-plastic coffee, and most who prefer it for environmental reasons would be put off by all the extra waste K-Cups produce. Pay organic price for none of its benefits.
I have an older Keurig coffee maker, one without the chip reader, so I usually pack canned coffee in refillable coffee pods, but some bleary-eyed mornings, I just want to drop a pod in and have some kind of warm brownish beverage drop out.

I hadn’t realized that the Keurigs went to a chip. That’s another good reason to keep mine up. I frequently make a cup in the singlecup, pour over Keurig while I’m waiting for the drip maker to finish it’s job.

Actually my cats are both chipped and use them multiple times a day. Their cat door is programmed to read their chip and only open when they approach it.
Now the little shits can’t have parties with their rando friends in the house while we’re gone!!

Sadly the cat expired before me, though in perspective very glad to not be expired yet.
Wanted a new pair, but planning on some int’l travel next few months so wanted to get that out of my system first. Next target is Japan; I have been there for work years ago. Now both my friend and his son and daughter went there, and separately my wife’s nieces went there. Need to get back.

The “chipped” door has been wonderful for us. I haven’t had to buy cat litter in over 2 years… so it’s basically paid for itself. (Do keep a pan of the pine pellet style litter in the bathroom though, just for any emergency. Hasn’t been used in that time frame.) We have a friend’s daughter come by every 3 or 4 days to make sure that there is dry food in the dispenser and to snuggle with the kitties, etc. I make sure I change the batteries before we leave so power won’t be an issue.
I do wish it had an excluder that would be able to tell if they were bringing a freaking bird or something large in with them. They have let a couple of those loose inside the house during hunting expeditions, though, luckily, never while we’ve been gone.

Forget the arguments against plastics, corporate coffee, etc. At least there are decent, flavorful coffees that fill the niche. This ain’t one of 'em.
