Yeah not being available for shipment to California is strange. Probably would have been easier to just say THAT instead of where they were available!
Edit: I mean after all, you added Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico in at the END of the alphabetical list!
@djslack@MrGoodGuy- Okay, i missed that they included DC! 🫣 My Bad!! I notised i made the mistake when the guy from California stated that Ca was Not included, but after 5 min the comment could Not be corrected!! Again, My Bad!! 🫢
The traditional ones are pretty tasty (especially the mushrooms), but an 8.8 oz bag is 6.28 at Sam’s. But I might be down to try another flavor that they don’t have.
@bonnielauria Yea i think they’re basically dipped in sugar. I cant believe the carbs per serving for what is supposed to be a seasoned dehydrated cucumber
@xfox100
Saw fish listed as a possible cross-contamination, pretty standard for anything made in a factory these days. Do you have a source that claims that there is fish included intentionally? Maybe as one of the “natural flavors”?
We buy the mushroom ones (unflavored) at Costco in a giant bag. They’re delicious and great on salads. I guess I’ll give the chili garlic versions a try. Friend has said the pickle chips were also pretty good.
Would it not have been simpler to just list the places where these are NOT available? As in ONE place instead of fifty-one…
Meanwhile, these are weird and not healthy, but kinda interesting, as far as extruded snack food goes. Though they very well might make you chunda…
@ESQuireTech@Pufferfishy
Locally grocery tax goes largely to fund education. Not sure I would call that “unnecessary”. Unfair or bad public policy perhaps would be better terms…
@Pufferfishy
agreed… it’s stupid. But it IS the way education is funded so it IS necessary (until someone “grows a pair” and fixes that process)
just sayin’
The shitake mushrooms have been available at Costco for years. While they’re addictively tasty (seriously, I could make a meal of them alone), they have a ton of sugar. One of the first ingredients is maltose - concentrated beer sugar.
reads label No msg?! Throws the bag on the floor, sets it on fire, waits for it to burn, stomps on it, spits on it, picks up the remnants, cuts them to pieces with a scissor, then burns and stomps them again
The Pickle-Licious flavor is available at Costco. It’s underwhelming. The texture is appealing, and I appreciated that they’re just full-on cucumber slices. But the pickle flavor was just way too muted. They’re decidedly bland.

Are these single serving sized bags? I can’t gauge how much you get in each for $2.22 per.
Nm. I’m in California and cannot participate. Boooooo!
@goldnectar 1.86 to 3.53 ounces per bag (52.73 to 100.07 grams). 30g per serving, so 1.75-3.33 servings per bag
These seem like an insult to veggies everywhere.
No CA shipping.
Must be cancerous; as CA thinks everything is.
Just a setup error, or IRL?
@rjquillin Only the chili garlic mushrooms have a P65 warning as listed in the specs above

um… whatever we did to deserve these- I’m sorry and we won’t do that again.
Made in Australia mate!!
Favorite snack food of Men at Work!!
@MrGoodGuy
needs VEGAMITE…
Including Puerto Rico, i counted 51 which is all the 50 States + PR. So, what’s up with that¿?
@DisabledWarVet4 DC
@DisabledWarVet4 As @djslack stated “DC” is the oddball because it is NOT a State. meh writers need to go back to skool!!
@DisabledWarVet4 @djslack @MrGoodGuy
Ummm… Maybe you should reserve a seat in their classroom. Neither is PR.
@chienfou The OP already made that distinction so I didn’t feel the need to repeat it. I’ll highlight his words though:

@MrGoodGuy
but he counted DC as a state in the above quote so you can’t have it both ways…
@chienfou Yep, he owned up to that in the post above this one you just made.
The traditional ones are pretty tasty (especially the mushrooms), but an 8.8 oz bag is 6.28 at Sam’s. But I might be down to try another flavor that they don’t have.
@djslack that’s a comparable price (since this is $20 for about 18 ounces)
I’m curious about the tempura myself…
What’s the expiration date on these? A relative gave me a bag of the Pickle-Licious and it was yummy.
@poids best by dates are listed in the specs above
These are wild, what a weird thing! Sort of interested, but IDK…
I got some pickle-icious, but the order number sounds ominous. Zoinks!

@bonnielauria probably a good indicator they taste good

@mediocrebot 1/5 stars, doesn’t look used at all
Started to buy the Tempura Veggie but checked the ingredients and they have fish.
@xfox100
/showme a meh tempura dried fish

@ironcheftoni Go to the picture of the back of the package. Ingredients are listed.

@ironcheftoni @mediocrebot AH! Memories of the Lake Eerie shoreline in spring after the lake ice thaws, revealing miles of dead, dried shiners…
Good times. Good smell, not so much…
Don’t buy food not properly packaged for shipping may receive damaged or opened with no refund.

Over $15.50/lb?
@IAMIS yeah, i got excited at first glance, but still too expensive.
@IAMIS They weigh next to nothing.

That’s gonna be a no from me dawg.
@pheaton Arrr, what do ye parrot think?
@macromeh the parrot ordered 3 of each, I’m not sure how he learned to use my credit card.
The shitakes are taxable in NY, but the Original Veggie Crisps aren’t? Who knew?
@ESQuireTech
Food tax laws are so weird…
@chienfou @ESQuireTech You misspelled “unnecessary”
@ESQuireTech @Pufferfishy
Locally grocery tax goes largely to fund education. Not sure I would call that “unnecessary”. Unfair or bad public policy perhaps would be better terms…
@chienfou @ESQuireTech I’ll go with “failed government”. Having grocery store purchases fund your education is pretty stupid.
@chienfou @ESQuireTech only the original vegetable and potato wedges are tax free here; everything else is subject to … Something.
@Pufferfishy
agreed… it’s stupid. But it IS the way education is funded so it IS necessary (until someone “grows a pair” and fixes that process)

How do you turn pickles into 20g of carbohydrates??
@wickhameh
Take out all the water…
@wickhameh seriously! Pickles have no calories. They add sugars.
When you want a side of God with your…fried vegetables?

Caveat emptor.
@matttys
At first glance I thought you misspelled beet… but then I realized it was maltose.
I like the term beer sugar!
@chienfou @matttys it’s already made of Margaritas!
reads label No msg?! Throws the bag on the floor, sets it on fire, waits for it to burn, stomps on it, spits on it, picks up the remnants, cuts them to pieces with a scissor, then burns and stomps them again
@Adamamesh shiitake has natural MSG if you need that fix

I’d probably be tempted if there was a variety option that included one of each flavor…

Finally something I want to order and I’m in CA and can’t.
Be nice to have regular tempura, but I don’t have the budget to buy the number I want (all of them)

I like the way that there are 2.3 servings in a bag. Sure, I’m going to eat 40% of a bag and put the rest back.
