In my case:
“No more pencils, no more books, no more teacher’s dirty looks”
Of course then there is the other side of said foot that almost prevented me from even getting a photo by myself. Broke the base of my toe a handful of days ago.
So glad I am not going to school and have to walk all over the place. Here though school started for kids July 20. Seriously?
Hey Meh. is it school time already note to self go slower in school zones. Anyway thank you for the regrets and I as always a special thanks to @extramedium
Almost forgot the link sigh… https://photos.app.goo.gl/Fwa73pnphJ46L9HHA
@flourlover You can choose the mountain moon and sky icon at the bottom of the text box. Click on that, drag the photo and it uploads here. If you are doing this on a phone you will need to turn your phone sideways to do it so the icons on the bottom show up then. Dumb they don’t how when your phone is held in it’s “normal” position.
@ExtraMedium thanks for doing this on a Sunday. Rather novel, this time around, order words… I’ll be interested to see what showme does to absorb jupiter.
@ExtraMedium thanks a million!!! Our back to school has been delayed a week, but I’ll still take the back to school IRK I live in NW Indiana where tornadoes and a derecho devastated our power grid, 95% of the county lost power for days, about 100,000 are still without power. Thankfully we have power although Internet is still out. It’s been a week!!!
@cbilyak I’m sorry to hear you’re going through that (collective “you” as in all 100,000). Not a great time to be in a rough spot. I hope they get you sorted quickly.
I’m sorry that you all had to go through this. The fires hitting the US right now are so terrible and they’re also hitting so many other places in the world where there were never a common fires firing summer before.
Practical questions since I don’t have children
I’m sure your kids are completely literate and quite intelligent and all that
So given that they can read on electronic devices, etc.
@f00l valid question. My kids absolutely can as can most of their friends, but most of them only read those required by school with a few random books catching their attention to read for pleasure. Surprisingly, all school required reading have been physical books. I am a book geek, so I do wish they would read more, but it is what it is.
Thanks, @ExtraMedium and Meh!

Here goes

@f00l
Turrible pix
But ok!
Thank you, ExtraMedium!
Ugh, already a rough week with back to school schedule… Mostly for me lol. Thank you meh!

@Kidsandliz
OMG… back to school in your neck of Mississippi was 7/20! That truly sucks.
@chienfou @Kidsandliz Yeah, that’s crazy. Do they get a long holiday break or get out extra early in the spring?
Oh, hello!

@TheMeerkat Welcome back! Goodness, it’s been over two years since your last ink IRK. I hope it’s a good one!
Hoping for an A+ Irk!
Okay y’all, rub it in, won’t you?
I still regret my decision to not have my first tattoo…
@chienfou I was never going to have a tattoo, or so I thought!
But I’m glad I jumped on the opportunity.
Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!
First week of school and this teacher is tired.

@gogrrl same here!!!
Thank you!!! Back to school kicks this teacher’s butt!

Thank you Meh! Thank you @extramedium for all your hard work dealing with us.
It was a long day at work
Thank you meh and @extramedium
Ok, gang. IRKs are being processed. Fingers crossed for them to ship on Monday with all the rest from the event. Good luck on the bags!

@Kidsandliz Here’s the image you requested for “exclusive-absorbed-jupiter”
@mediocrebot Huh? Your butt is lazy. You stole this from wikipedia who stole it from NASA. Where is the exclusive and absorbed part?:
@ExtraMedium Thank you!

@ExtraMedium thanks but all good…it was an adventure and forced the kids to hang with us since they had no devices!!
@cbilyak @ExtraMedium
So… Silver lining, right?
@cbilyak

Can they actually read a book?
Or, for modern children, is that just too hard?
; )
