@chuckf1 well, almost. Actually happened. I was up all night jamming at the last minute for an exam; then crashed for a bit, and realized I was already late about 1 hour into the 2 hour exam period. I did remember to put on pants, though would have been a better story if I didn’t, sorry to disappoint.
I got to the classroom and walked in (not a big class; only maybe 10-15 people in upper division engineering) but I think everyone looked up at me and I just smiled and said cheerfully “Good Morning!”
Yes, I did pass.
Can’t find my locker. Can’t find my classes. Naked. First day of school and I don’t have my schedule. Last day of school and I need to clean out my locker. End of the year and I haven’t attended a class the whole time.
Mine are mostly college related. It’s time to go to a final, but I’ve forgotten all semester that I had that class. I go to campus, and it’s like WEEKS into the semester, and I go to classes, but I’ve still somehow never registered for classes, so I’m not actually earning any credit. I go back to school, and all of my friends are graduating, but I’m somehow years behind (see the above never registering for classes, but these are separate dreams), so I’m going to have to stay in school while all of my friends go off to do new adult things
@togle seems like avoiding “adulting” as long as possible is the new goal, so maybe you were ahead of the trend?
Also minus 1 point for no nakedness. Seems to be essential for top score. Weird how that obsesses us so much.
Yes, I have a recurring dream occasionally, ever since graduating from UCSD way back in 1989! In the dream, I’m in the last couple of weeks of my last quarter before I’m supposed to graduate, and there’s always ONE class, usually some history class, that I have not been attending, have not read any of the textbook, have not written my term paper, and have missed the deadline to drop without taking an F.
I think I finally quit having the elementary school one where I somehow go to school without my shoes.
The standard: realizing you have a final in a class you forgot to go to that is required to graduate. Also having no clue where it is. I think every college grad I’ve talked to about dreams says they have some version of this fairly often.
I still occasionally dream that I have a final exam in a class I never showed up for. Once it was so real I woke up thinking I needed to head to class. This is why I relate to the scene in Driving Miss Daisy.
The usual ‘can’t find my class’, though it’s been years since that dream. Also the naked push-ups in gym class dream (that actually happened daily, the coach would make the boys do naked push-ups in front of him and the class in jr HS)
@daveinwarsh today we would call that creepy and surely illegal, but up until the 1950s-60s most “boys” swimming would be done naked. In fact it was often required because of concern that wool or cotton swimsuits would shed fibers that would clog the pool filters.
College no. Jr high and high school I got bullied a lot. My dad was on the school board and they made some decisions that affected the band directors in a negative way. They took it out on me.
Dad exposed the fact they were getting kick backs from a local music store. Any student that didn’t buy their instruments from that store were treated just as badly as I was.
Karma has a way of showing up though. 15 years after I graduated, one band director decided to un-alive himself after getting caught molesting students. When my mom told me, my only response was good, he finally got caught. It was rumored for years that he couldn’t keep his hands off the majorettes. Mom asked me why took so long, but in the 80s who would believe kids?
Never had any
Showing up naked to a test AND not knowing any of the answers to the questions.

@nitac78
The “never attended class” one was one I also had…
@chienfou @nitac78 Same. But the school-themed nightmares (finally) come fewer and fewer as I age.
Never had school related nightmares. Mine have always been about my various jobs over the years.
@Pony Yep, same Here & with certain

(Let’s not examine the psychology behind all these dreams)

Don’t remember ever having any college related nightmares
My current nightmare is contacting any form of customer service and trying to deal with the AI robots or the scripts driven people on the phone
That’s also a daytime horror dream
Customer service face-to-face can be fine, but any form of remote customer service now just seems to turn into a nightmare very quickly
