Earworm - old school commercial jingle
3In this puzzle game I do there was a camera this morning and for whatever reason the jingle below went through my head and won’t come out.
After re-learning who wrote it, maybe I shouldn’t be surprised. And I’m sure it happens to others of us oldies too

Whenever a song gets stuck in my head I just think of Ian Whitcomb’s The Turn On Song and it drives anything else out of my head.
/youtube I’d like to give the world a coke
@f00l - I prefer the Meh version:
@aetris @f00l there’s two versions that stick into my mind. One is the theme to the children’s show, the Letter People; it has a similar melody, but isn’t quite the same. The other is a pornographic remix that’s, well, “furnish it with porn” should get you a few YouTube links (it’s actually kind of cute, if explicit).

@chienfou Lucky you!
Ironically used in a Chase Bank commercial (just the chorus - keep on keeping on)
I still have some of the jingles from commercials in Las Vegas when I was a kid/teem. Found a couple online.
You’ll have to hit the play button on this one, I didn’t see a way to directly link the jingle. I was surprised to see they are still in business but they dropped the history page from their website.

Then there was Maryland Square Shopping Center (which had a Wonder World store, a favorite!), across the street from the Boulevard Mall, also a favorite.

Dang, I’m being so nostalgic. I really need to see if there are any VHS tapes we recorded back then and get a working player to see if I have any of these…
While I totally remember the product I have absolutely no recollection of the commercial…
