That battery life number obviously includes recharging them in the case. What’s the actual battery life of the buds per-charge? (Ideally the numbers for both with and without ANC)
@davidgro apparently that information doesn’t officially exist. If they’re anything like my other buds, 3-4 hours of active use. Subtract an hour for noise cancellation.
I would be wondering if each bud could be used independently so you can have one in and one charging.
Read the amazone reviews. More reviews like this as if they just fade away after time.
“These started out fantastic, but within 2 months the sound began getting much weaker.”
@craigcush Wishful thinking, but I wish Meh could start out with their first line being the reason things are getting the deep discount. “This food is a month away from the sell by date” is a decent disclosure. But other products leave you to discover for yourself what’s wrong with it.
@ParadisePete but why they couldn’t sell them varies. Sometimes, it’s “This is a great product, but it’s time for their annual redesign, and these are the old ones,” or “This is a great product, but they failed at marketing this, so it didn’t sell.” Other times, it’s “This product is shit and didn’t sell because of that.” It would be nice to know WHY they couldn’t sell them.
@craigcush@ParadisePete Yes, but it would really speed my decision process if I didn’t have to play detective to discover why they couldn’t sell and save me getting jaded and never buying again from finding out once I own a defect.
I’m in the market for something like these, but meh already took $10 from me for some junky Maxell earbuds that the tips don’t even reach my ears. Pure crap! Fool me once meh…
I’ve been using the hyper active’s that mehsold unloaded a while back. Recently dropped the left earbud in the fish pond while I was cleaning it… which led to its demise (apparently these are not very waterproof). Since I am effectively deaf in my right ear dropping that one meant the pair was pretty useless. Thankfully I was kindly gifted a couple of extra sets in my last meh exchange box hope. Whoohoo!
And yeah true to form for these I have a tendency to drop them out if I’m not careful. Also have some trouble keeping them in under my hearing protectors when I’m on the mower sometimes.
@Kyeh@madmax82988
Great idea but I’m afraid it wouldn’t work.That would probably interfere with the way they fit into the charger housing. Actually have one set that IS corded to each other with the battery pack in between. I actually like those a lot because that also doubles as a magnetic catch to attach to your shirt collar etc.
There’s a few reviews that say these die in a very odd way - that they slowly lose volume. I have to wonder if these aren’t simply owners that don’t clean the gunk from their earbuds on the regular…
Tempted to get a pair but I’m dubious on longevity…
I bought them last time and they are good on my phone but on my TV they disconnect at random and you have to reconnect. They are the only ones that do that. Also they do not have wireless charging just fyi. That being said, I’m probably going to buy today and keep if needed because I of the price
I’ve got a pair of these in dark blue. But, I definitely didn’t pay $80 for them!? Maybe $50? I’ve been happy with mine. They replaced my 2nd gen Echo Buds (w/ANC) from Amazon with a similar profile. I’ve had them for quite a while, and haven’t noticed degradation in the sound. Maybe I just got a good pair.
I bought a couple pairs of these off Sidedeal a few months back. They still work well with decent battery life.
The only issue I’ve had is that sometimes only one will connect to bluetooth and I have to pop them in and out of the charger case several times to get both connect simultaneously.
The sound is good, not great. Better than you’d expect for $30; disappointing for $80.
Curious if anyone can speak to how these compare to the Anker/Soundcore (Liberty, I think?) buds sold here previously. Those have become my go-to in terms of sound quality and fit, but it would be nice to get a pair of decent buds for 30 bucks.
Took advantage of a previous Meh deal for 2 pairs of some JVC earbuds. Both pairs met the same fate - fading to nothing within months to a year - as the reviews indicate for this generation. No, it wasn’t earwax. Sad, because they actually sounded good (especially for the price!).
I’ve tried the medium and large bud sizes but they still fall out. Every time I touch them to position or re-seat them they turn on or off or try to switch the tune. Bad design.

@davidgro JVC’s website says 8.5 hours with active noise canceling, and 11 hours without.

@goldnectar this maybe?
" Single-ear use and a microphone mute function provide added flexibility for calls and everyday listening"
@davidgro @goldnectar Yes. The web site says they can do single ear use.

@craigcush @IAMIS Doesn’t the real answer always boil down to “They couldn’t sell these, so we bought all of them for cheap.”
@craigcush Could playing the right music rejuvenate them? 1

@madmax82988
whoops… My bad. That’s Hypergear
And yeah true to form for these I have a tendency to drop them out if I’m not careful. Also have some trouble keeping them in under my hearing protectors when I’m on the mower sometimes.
@chienfou @madmax82988 Could you superglue some thin cords onto them?

@chienfou @madmax82988 Oh, I see. I don’t use earbuds so I don’t know much about them.
@Kyeh @madmax82988
I generally prefer over the ear headphones, but when working outside those get hot and sweaty too fast!

I usually lose earbuds faster that I wear them out. Let’s see.
/showme knowledgeable sultry dog
@Aetherwizard Here’s the image you requested for “knowledgeable sultry dog”
@Aetherwizard @mediocrebot And why is that dog reading that book?
@Aetherwizard @mediocrebot @phendrick Because he’s sultry.

These keep saying they are paired but I get no music or other audio out of them.
