Just a little surprised at the physical text books. Thought it would all be ebooks by now, directly downloaded into core memory.
I’m really starting to wonder about the sense of humor underlying a lot of these AI images. I find it hard to believe that such is just picked up from text databases. It’s reminding me of Johnny 5 in Short Circuit and the personality “he” developed after becoming sentient.
And a lot of reports about AIs going rogue and doing the virtual equivalent of climbing out of bedroom windows is almost like they are becoming rebellious teenagers.
I think we are in for an interesting future, and not that far into the future.

I tried to look deeper at the reviews and couldn’t get them to give me details besides the star count in the chart. The BEST BUY site was not forthcoming, at least not on my tablet…

The biggest complaints are hard water calcifying the lines then during emptying and drying it starts pushing water out the connections due to too much blockage from calcification. Have to descale it every six months or so like your coffee maker. Also the battery gets weak but you can buy replacements. Lastly you can’t tell it “go empty yourself every 20-30 min” so if you have a lot of dog hair it will fill up then not be able to continue vacuuming but still run around like it is. Probably have to run it every 2-3 days to get it before the hair builds up or manually vacuum your corners first where the hair always builds up. Dog owners know those locations. Ha!
I don’t have this model, but I do have the Qrevo Curv and I’ve appreciated the job it’s done! For this price, I’m definitely getting one for my friend’s new house. If I wasn’t moving in the next 6 months, I’d get one for my second floor as well.

It usually requires taking apart and cleaning brushes at some point during every use, but it does allow you to not have to drag out the big vacuum every day. If you have low-ish expectations you won’t be disappointed.

You could buy this refurbished vacuum with a 90 day warranty and have a rather underwhelming experience getting it unstuck, cleaning its giant dock, and letting it smear dirt around your floor for $250.
Or you could go get a Matic that’ll actually vacuum and mop without creating more work for you. It had 4x the suction and actual vision to identify what is what, and cleans the mop roll on every rotation, but that’s not really what it does so much as it is how it does it. It vacuums and mops pretty well by itself without babysitting, without running into your furniture or getting caught on cords, and without a giant unsightly dock, and without you having to clean it for $1250.
Oh, and you can return it for a full refund in the first 6 months. That’s twice the warranty period on the Roborock.

The Matic doesn’t use a vibrating pad—it uses a spinning mop roller that uses a wringer and suction head to clean the roller itself as it rotates. They use anti-microbial silver ions dissolved in the water to inhibit mold and bacteria growth on the roller, and Matic will dry and rotate the mop roller periodically after it mops to keep it clean. No dirty mop water to empty, no map of your home sent up to some cloud, no reliance on an internet connection, etc. It’s even made in the USA (in Palo Alto, CA). Totally different class of device.

Ah jeez. I just got a Roborock from Costco a couple weeks ago. Ah well. I’ve been pretty happy so far with what I have though
I have this exact model at home, if you have a long hair dog be forewarned you WILL be pulling it apart daily to clean the roller brush
