Flocked anything can kill cats or damage their lungs
3If you have cats be careful with the flocked items being sold today. They can inhale the flocking and it can damage their lungs and/or kill them.
Also did meh hold up National Tree Company with a gun candy cane or pumpkin carved with a scary face to have so many products - and amazingly so many to get here prior to the holiday.

No tinsel. Our cat used to eat it in the 1970s. We found out when she did a magic trick and made it appear of you know where.

@cfg83 Yeah no tinsel is on the list. It can cause (just like eating thread or string) their intestines to get damaged due to an obstruction and then they need surgery to get it out.
And remember if you can damage your cat it can damage you too
@Cerridwyn I mean. The loving cat pricks/scratches are starting to out run the tool/car scrapes
One of the worst is one is laying on your bare leg and launches. But belly rubs will get you too when they suddenly switch to trap mode. Pretty sure Guinan just grabs cause she wants to keep your hand.
Obviously with an actual puncture wound its much more serious especially if In the joint space or penetrating a tendon sheath. Definitely have to take any deep/penatrating bite seriously.

@Cerridwyn @chienfou lol I was just adding up the scratches and they are currently mostly cat. Couple good knuckle slips from cars that donated the required blood.

@Cerridwyn @chienfou @unksol I guess this is kind of a brag, but Poppy doesn’t do that! She lets me stroke her tummy and while she’s fierce with her toys, she’s never scratched or tried to bite me. She yells at me alot, though.
@Cerridwyn @chienfou @Kyeh lol Guinan and Crusher and a couple others like belly rubs and roll over and purr. Mostly they try and grab my hand when I take it away/stop.
Sometimes kneading too. They manage to keep themselves very sharp.
Have we seen Poppy? I’m sure probably on a cat thread but I can’t remember offhand.
Watch out for those damned flocked cameras, too. I think they can also lead to intestinal blockages.

@phendrick careful last time I bitched about flock someone kept reporting it “political” and meh kept taking it down. Hating flock and spying bullshit is apolitical so not sure who was pulling what
