11So I innocently gave @capnjb my address when he asked me for it a while back in a whisper and look what I got in the mail!!! CHOCOLATE!!! Lots of it. All different kinds. So cool! And a great surprise at a time when I really needed it.
The heck with coffee. Chocolate has caffeine in it too and, most importantly, chocolate is necessary for one’s health, wellbeing and future happiness. I suspect it is its own food group - just not formally recognized as that yet. You need a pretty high daily dose of chocolate to keep from becoming deficient.

And @ironcheftoni is the sole member of the Secret-Not-So-Secret Tea and cookies club. You guys need to start drinking coffee to make my life easier
And I’m not even going to talk about @jkawaguci and her need for decaf. I have to roast that with my eyes closed.

And nope nope nope on the coffee - no coffee chocolate, no coffee ice cream (my other favorite junk food), no coffee anything.

Um, chocolate! Are you going to be home with the lights on for Halloween evening?
@phendrick Yup and I am only buying candy I like as I have no idea how many kids will come. Very few live in this neighborhood. I’ve only seen around 8-10 of them when stuck behind the school busses.
I did give my one halloween decoration to a neighbor who has quite the setup. Mine fit right in with hers and and I had no way to use it where I live at the moment. I did see her put it out too (I had set it on her porch with a note).
@Kidsandliz @phendrick I do the same thing. Well, now only hand out things that my mom and I like. It varies from year to year how many trick or treaters I get. Last year I got none and I prepared for so many that I donated most of the treats to the local food bank. This year I prepared for about 20 so that means I’ll have to turn off the lights early.

I live in an apartment complex and they do the Trunk or Treat thing not the trick or treat thing. But I put a bowl of candy out and I usually put it out earlyish in October and keep it full through the end. It allows everyone including tenants and staff and delivery people to get candy if they want. For the first time this year somebody is sorting it. Anytime I put anything in there and I go out the next morning it’s sorted by candy in the dish. I find it somewhat amusing

@tinamarie1974 was talking to one of the maintenance guys today and made a comment about somebody sorting it. I came back from an errand and found it all messed up. I don’t know if he repeated what I said to the person who did it or if somebody else just decided they were going to mess it up and see if it got sorted again
