So, I spend $30 for some unknown junk. Likely some trackers and expired food I would not eat if it was fresh as possible. Or if I am really lucky, a training bra for a ten year old or one that looks like it was worn by generously endowed woman for many, many years. Then I get to spend more money on two additional orders of known junk that I will likely never use. That entitles me to $5 off three additional orders of junk that is likely not worth it coupon or not.
Remember when you spent a little money for a Fukubukuro that might have had something really good in it if you were lucky? If not, something moderately useful to you or someone you knew? Or at minimum had a fun bag for your buck. Remember when Meh sent you some free stuff just because? When they had some deals that actually seemed like deals? What happened to that Meh?
@ponagathos I remember. I kept my VMP for a decade hoping that they would send me out a Guinness Bar Towel. Or a breakfast octopus.
Then the $10 IRK I was like maybe they will personalize it.
Same shit everyone else got, which, as you note, is trash not just unsold and questionable functionality of a big price item like before. Then I see the poor people with actual tattoos get the same trash. Somehow, just somehow, a new member (within a year) scores the cookware. That shit ain’t random.

I have so much post traumatic lingering regret from IRK (twice bitten four times shy), plus seeing all these ridiculously priced items (Five hundred bucks for one ornament, puhleese…) with mountains of unwanted outdated merch… As the mangled saying goes “Fool me–You can’t get fooled again.”
Well I missed the second half of the Meh-rathon when my sleep took control of my day but I regretfully luckily found it still available today! Too bad none of the other items are available because I did see 2 things that I could’ve used for gifts. Oh well… I sure do hope this IRK is better than the last one, I don’t even think I posted about it, that’s how bad it was. Not even worth the $10 I spent on it! Fingers crossed for this one!
