@heartny@mycya4me Yup, was just going to say never be in there and don’t peel the plastic film off the appliances. I could / have lived just out of the fridge and microwave on the end of the counter during my rental days.
Several of the above. Dishwasher, clean up after cooking, accept clutter but not trash or spilled foods and liquids, keep necessary stuff as organized as possible.
@kittykat9180 This! I try to do that when cooking. (I’ve tried to get my wife into the habit as well, but after 35 years I don’t think it’s going to stick… )
@kittykat9180
Yup, I do the dishes as I cook so there’s not a huge stack after I’m done. Always clean all dishes when done and the kitchen. It’s not that hard when you do it everyday.
I don’t have a set cleaning routine for my house in general, I just clean things that need it when I see it. Drop something on the floor while cooking? Pick it up. Has worked fine for my entire adult life.
Yes I have Dish Washer that I carry around with me 24/7. The Dish Washer has 5 fingers on each hand. Some times the Fingers get wrinkled after being in so much water.
@BioBill Am wife. Yes, I do most of the cleaning here. (He’s legally blind, and while he is a more enthusiastic cook than I am, I’m much better at spotting the spills, splashes, spatters and schmutz.)
Actually it is all the openings to the outside that let cockroaches in that motivate me to keep the kitchen clean enough that they don’t find dinner or make babies in my place.
@Kidsandliz This is key. It also helps to spend a day with a caulking un and two cases of sealant, closing every damn seam and crevice before moving in. Few have the luxury of doing this, but my stepdaughter has confirmed the value of the procedure.
Don’t go in the kitchen.

KuoH
I wish I knew.
@Kyeh Who knows, inquiring minds want to Know!
@Kyeh @mycya4me
Install doors if the kitchen doesn’t hand them.
Then close the doors from the outside.
Never look inside.
Only fix meals the dog will clean up after.
@phendrick
/showme dogs wearing aprons in the kitchen while cleaning floors and washing dishes
@phendrick Here’s the image you requested for “dogs wearing aprons in the kitchen while cleaning floors and washing dishes”
@phendrick Don’t have a Dog, but have Spoiled Cat, one that helps with the cooking & Clean up.
@mediocrebot @phendrick Best dogs ever!
Lower your standards for ‘clean’
@TheGreatNico this has to one of the best answers!
@mycya4me @TheGreatNico Yes, one of the meh-est answers!

@werehatrack Wow…
Your kitchens are clean?
@highonpez yep, Love
the answer.
Only order delivery that can be eaten out of the delivery container, and eat in front of the TV.
@hchavers but that get $$$$, I just fix what I want for each meal, then take it to either the TV or the computer.
@mycya4me ummm… Chinese food, American burger joints, and pizza delivery are not that expensive.
@hchavers @mycya4me
But it adds up quick
Clean as you go.
@kittykat9180 boring!

@mycya4me you should talk to Madge
Having one of us dedicated to cleaning the kitchen every night.
@rustyh3 I would guess that would be You!
@mycya4me and that would be correct. Good guess.
Listen to a podcast or an audiobook while doing the dishes and cleaning.
Audiobooks are fantastic, and since I can ‘watch’ them, it’s like I’m not even doing mindless chores.
@gwrankin
Audiobooks make the world endurable. Or a little bit more endurable .
Wife
@BioBill Lol. If my wife knew I laughed at this. Rather than choose the wrong emoji; fear.
@BioBill Am wife. Yes, I do most of the cleaning here. (He’s legally blind, and while he is a more enthusiastic cook than I am, I’m much better at spotting the spills, splashes, spatters and schmutz.)
Scullery maid?
Live by the motto:
My house is clean enough to be healthy, messy enough to be happy.
@chienfou same. Our house is tidy but very much lived in. Our neighbors house is always immaculate. They’re also always yelling at one another.
@sillyheathen
Too much stress!
What is this thing you call cleaning?
Actually it is all the openings to the outside that let cockroaches in that motivate me to keep the kitchen clean enough that they don’t find dinner or make babies in my place.
