@eberleitguy Yes they are4 Great… The last few I did need a break in period. they were great when I put my feet into them for the 1st time. I wear a small size 8W.
@mediocrebot Nothing worse than a prudish bot trying to nanny-sit people on Meh.com.
/showme Three happy people enjoying life while all are wearing Skechers comfy shoes
@Pony My favorite is a purple pair with a sparkly butterfly on the back. I have two pair with sparkly laces that get compliments all the time. I just bought another lavender pair that look really cool. I’m very much addicted to Slip-Ins.
@heartny Same here. One of the few places I can walk in and don’t have to try them on since they fit perfect every time. But only for sneakers though. I the plastic soles of their sandals make my feet sweat and stinky.
@ironcheftoni I agree with you about the sandals. I don’t like the sweaty plastic soles. I much prefer Clark’s Cloudsteppers that are fabric covered. So comfy.
@phendrick in all fairness, they are all great shoes. My xeros have been my favorite for YEARS. I even converted the Englishman. He didn’t like them for the first few months but he’s been completely converted for at least two years. He tells everyone how it’s improved his balance and he no longer has sciatica issues.
I think I’ve been wearing basically the same style of Adidas “running” shoes for the last 20 years in the summer. Take a long time to wear out if you aren’t running/show up cheap on slickdeals so there is a back up pair in the closet. Migrate to lawn mowing shoes when there are holes.
Same pair of black boots for fall/winter that last 5 years… I’m very bland
I’m wrong they are Asics I’ve been wearing for 20 years lol. The sandals I’m wearing around the house are Adidas screw ups or something. The tread pattern is different between the left/right on both pairs. obviously I don’t pay that much attention
Y’all remember AirWalks I remember my first pair feeling like clouds. Nothing has ever compared since my first pair in junior high… I’m 43 and hate my heels now.
Was a big fan of Vans but then I got a bunion and moved to different “barefoot” brands. They’re ok. But not that comfy. I’ll take any recommends that aren’t stupid expensive.
@caalsio
Vans have gotten really expensive since I used to wear them as a teenager. They weren’t cool shoes like they are today either. My niece who’s a shoe snob got a pair a few Xmas’s ago that were stupid expensive.
I like k Swiss tubes. Way more comfortable than their regular flat court shoes in my opinion.
I used to be Rockport for dress shoes, but once I got my first pair of Ariat boots, I don’t wear anything else. Cowboy boots FTW Unexpectedly comfortable
I love K-Swiss tubes. They’ve gotten rather expensive over the past few years though but what hasn’t. I have a pair of new balance shoes that I bought from an actual running store (so their real running shoes made for athletes) those are super comfortable. I use those for walking.
American made New Balance were wonderful; import not as good and wear out too fast. I have a couple of pairs of New Balance Bushmaster boots that are awesome but discontinued.
I was happy with the one set of Merrells but they wore out faster than expected.
I still have one pair of Danner RATs (US made) for the rare occasions when I’m hiking or on rough terrain. More protection than absolute comfort but they broke in well and are acceptable.
Alegria. They work for my feet
Merrel
@mycya4me Ditto
@eberleitguy Yes they are4 Great… The last few I did need a break in period. they were great when I put my feet into them for the 1st time. I wear a small size 8W.
Skechers
@heartny Same here.
@heartny @Pony Make it a threesome.
/showme a happening threesome happening while they’re all wearing Skechers comfy shoes
Something went terribly wrong. Please try again.

@phendrick Here’s the image you requested for “Three happy people enjoying life while all are wearing Skechers comfy shoes”
@mediocrebot Was that so hard?
I see there are others that share my color sense.
@heartny @phendrick My favorite pair of Skechers are bright purple. I get so many compliments on them every time I wear them.
@Pony My favorite is a purple pair with a sparkly butterfly on the back. I have two pair with sparkly laces that get compliments all the time. I just bought another lavender pair that look really cool. I’m very much addicted to Slip-Ins.
@mediocrebot @phendrick
That looks like an advertisement
@heartny @Pony I have a purple pair too, and also a red pair. No butterflies or sparkles, though. (I have other colors but those are my 2 favorites.)

@heartny I found some Dr Scholl’s that have leather or fake leather insoles that are real comfortable
So athletic shoes? On Cloud
@tinamarie1974 except now they changed them. Material harder, sole higher. I’m Sad
Allen Edmonds
For dress shoes it was Rockport, but I am not sure they are in business. I like Bean boat shoes. I use Specialized bike shoes with Speedplay pedals.
Whatever I can find that fits and doesn’t require financing, which is a challenge when you wear a women’s 13W.
Walmart clearance.
@BioBill That used to be my go-to, back in the previous days.
Xero, Vivo, Docs or Uggs.
@sillyheathen That’s a lot of 4-letter words.
@phendrick yeah…

@phendrick @sillyheathen
I also love zeros and Vivos.
And Walmart knock off crocs, which seemed to last approximately forever
@phendrick @sillyheathen
I typed and corrected “xero” 4 times, above
each time AutoCorrect still “corrected” to zero.
I finally gave up
Mail ordered yhrse from the inventor/biz owner’s shop in
Boulder
it was a long time ago when I found them them
first few times I got them they didn’t sell the fully made ones yet
I bought kits
I had a bunch of these, and and many pair sort of managed to get lost
I was moving and temporarily put some stuff in storage
and as far as I know, I wasn’t robbed, but I could never find the box they were in again
No idea what happened
Still love them.

Vivobarefoot
Asics Kayano
@kittykat9180 I like Asics.
Red Wings (a boot brand)
Timberline
The only brand I wear
I guess avoid wingtips in general?

@caalsio hobibear available on Amazon. True wide toe box
Danner
Comfortable, supportive (most important because of an old foot injury) and durable.
Asics as long as they are not from Walmart. Lower grade. Don’t last as long.
Salomon
Archie’s Flip Flops
I used to be Rockport for dress shoes, but once I got my first pair of Ariat boots, I don’t wear anything else. Cowboy boots FTW
Unexpectedly comfortable
Bruno Magli
(too soon?)
Flip flops, Hey dudes or Saguaro. Love me a no arch support shoe
Remember Tiddies? Or was it just a Texas thing? Apparently they still make them!
Get your Tiddies Here
@ironcheftoni I’m not sure I have an appropriate response for this. Although my inner teenager sure does

@capnjb hey, it was the 70s and the acid was very good that day.
@ironcheftoni Again, no adult response, but my teenage brain just said something really fucking funny
@capnjb
