What's up with the HORRID images being used on the Home page now for forum topics??
2I thought the return to bland, black & white non-AI clicky faces were bad enough but these are simply putrid!!
4-color vector illustrations are an awful choice but so apropos for a declining website I suppose in order to cut the costs I’d assume. meh.

I miss the days when the forum would plug your topic name into an image search and use a random image it found online instead of generating slop for it.
@lljk Linking images has become more and more unreliable.

@lljk @narfcake that is bold shirt
@lljk @unksol It’s this:
https://www.themountain.com/10-kittens-classic-cotton-t-shirt/
Price is beyond what I’d pay, though, especially since the shirts are of the heavy carded open-ended cotton variety. It’s the kind that doubles as sandpaper.
@narfcake sounds like you are Catting around way too much! You should try to control yourself better… Narf.
@lljk @narfcake so… free exfoliation?
@lljk @narfcake but yeah. $40 for a… Loud tshirt. No thanks
@lljk @narfcake @unksol Did someone say sandpaper?
/showme John the Baptist wearing sweater made of irritating fabric, sweater has image of frolicking kittens on it.
@cfg83 Here’s the image you requested for “John the Baptist wearing sweater made of irritating fabric, sweater has image of frolicking kitte…”
I liked the movie ones
I like them.
idk MUCH preferred to the obviously AI crap. Even if these are also AI. At least it gives me a break from the monotony.
As long as they’re moving away from AI slop, I’ll take it. Makes the whole site feel like some giant Temu scam. MSPaint stick figure scribbles would be preferable.
